I call it “holy church by way of the combine citadel”
‘God is cruel and unkind. We shall show his will in the architecture, so we remind ourselves that we are worthless and undeserving of his grace and majesty.’ – Who ever designed this.
I feel like brutalist architecture in this sub is cheating.
Hot damn I love me some brutalism. What a fantastic wall.
I was actually in a wedding in this church a couple of years ago. It was a crazy experience. The whole building is beautiful.

Bro wtf I went to elementary school there 05-06 hahaha we had to be in there every Wednesday and I would always fall asleep it is so fucking grey!
Toontown vibes are strong with this one.
Looks like something out of the Quake series
Yeah, but the acoustics are the bomb!
1) I don’t think I’ve ever seen a brutalist design in a Western church, and
2) This only a 5 hour drive from where I currently am so I need to see this in person!
Why is it that brutalism is starting to grow on me?
The boss fight is behind that red door.
Holy shit, this was the church my family took me to as a kid!
Where is this??
“You know what Catholics like, bleak modern walls. Like…” *hits blunt* “like lets stick a giant Blade Runner wall in here to look at with no murals or crosses’n shit on it.”
I’ve always wanted to go to church in a Metal Gear level.
Nosgoth came to life!
😍😍😍
Yeah, most of the time the Church’s as “Evil buildings” seem to be little more than angry or trendy anti religion temper tantrum… But this? This is something truly WTF… Like comic book villain evil.
Looks like the throne room of Paul Maud’dib
Looks like some shit from 1984
Wasn’t this in one of those exorcism movies?
Jesus, what the hell.
Reminds me of the Beginner’s Guide
Looks fit for a human sacrifice.
That chair looks like Appa
PREACH ME!!!!

Wonder what their attendance is like
It’s very Gotham.
What a fabulous venue for a satanic ritual.
I don’t normally like brutalism, but I like this.
Literally looks like a level from doom 2. Not pictured in front is a river of slime that hurts you.
Can’t wait til that becomes a techno club.
I always hated this church.
So much gorgeous religious architecture has to have it’s counterpoint, I guess.
Still. I think this is uglier than the local church here that took over a defunct shopping plaza. They were just being practical. This was a deliberate choice.

Father Sheev Palpatine is the attending priest there, I believe.

Is this church for Satan or something?
