  1. As someone who’s worked in the ‘making architectural shit up’ business, actual buildings like this always make me chuckle, because I can hear the art director/lead going ‘nah, that’s not gonna fly man, you’re floating too much mass… remember, believable supports for your forms, otherwise it’s just too fake looking’.

Man this is pretty structure tho – https://images.adsttc.com/media/images/54af/4331/e58e/ce1c/fa00/004e/large_jpg/portada.jpg?1420772103

  2. For someone who work in the construction of this, I will upload some pictures of the foundations and the structure if anyone is interested.

  3. Truly evil building in this sub. The ideas that fuel Unasur have run Venezuela to the ground, and created economic havoc in Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, and Ecuador. This association has also breathed some life into Cuba’s moribund government, prolonging Cubans’ plight.

  4. I was just there almost a year ago visiting Ecuador for work. The building feels funny next to the touristy Mitad Del Mundo.

  5. I found some pictures of the construction process along with actual pictures of the finished project…interior, satellite and exterior. Regardless of the political controversies surrounding this building, it’s a work of art, inside and out. I’ve been in the building. Six stories are in the main portion and underground.

If it survived the earthquake of 2016, I’m sure the cantilever portion would survive the craziest of frat parties and jumping too. 😉
